bullet  Research Notes:

The following research pertains to the family of Mazie Jeffs. See notes on daughter-in-law Mary Hagen for an obituary for Frances Waller Palmore Johnson (email from Gail Johnson <glj2@earthlink.net>, Dec. 31, 2005) that names "Maizie Jeffs". It appears that her parents came into the United States in 1870 and 1871 (see 1900 census records below), her father first followed by her mother and two siblings. Her father's name appears as Johnson and Johnstone in various records.
