BORUM, Jane P., of Blackstone, Va., died Wednesday, February 11, 2009. She was born February 17, 1912, and was the widow of Willie Witt Borum. Jane was the essence of love, devoting her life to family, friends and faith. She is survived by two sons, Joseph Witt Borum of Blackstone and Robert Lee Borum of Richmond; two daughters, Beverley B. Nowell of Bradenton, Fla., and Sarah B. Nicholas of Blackstone; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. Jane was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 13, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd. (Business Hwy. 460), near Blackstone. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 14, at the Crenshaw United Methodist Church, 200 Church St., Blackstone, with interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crenshaw United Methodist Church, Kenston Forest School, or the Nottoway County Emergency Squad.
