(March 1858) and Ida B. (June 1861) Vaughan and siblings James H. (April 1884), Joseph L. (May 1886), Lucy R. (Dec 1888), Mary L. (Dec 1890), Arthur H. (May 1892), Corrina C. (March 1894), and Nicholas H. (January 1897). Also in the household are Joseph's mother, Rebecca J. Vaughan (March 1835) and cousin Richard T. Vaughan (June 1838). This is a farming fqamily and all members and their parents are born in Virginia.

Claudia married Charles Waldron Phelps on 24 Feb 1907 in Nottoway Co., Va. (Charles Waldron Phelps was born circa 1880 in Maryland and died after 1930 in Nottoway Co., Virginia.)
