They have had 6 children 4 of whom are still living.

The 1910 Federal Census for Browns Creek, McDowell Co., West Virginia, District 76 records Gordon S. (466 - WV/WV/WV) and Nancy J. (52 - WV/WV/WV) Totten and children May Totten (18) and Neal Totten (16). Gordon is a farmer and has been married to Nancy for 23 years. They have had 6 children 4 of whom are still living.

Mrs. Goldie J. Daughtrey, at 1822 [or 1821] Grove Street [Williamson Road District], Roanoke, VA ... since (1) her husband, Jake Daughtrey, is not listed at this address and (2) the fact that Jake dies in 1955, and (3) that Jake is not mentioned in Goldie's obituary, and (4) that Goldie's Daughtrey's nieces & nephews are not mentioned, one can assume that Jake and Goldie separated or divorced ... see Goldie's obituary below.

Mrs. Goldie Totten Daughtrey age 88 of 3114 Ellsworth St. NE died Thursday morning in a Narrows nursing home. She was born in Kimball, W Va., a member of a pioneer family of McDowell County. Mrs. Daughtrey was an active member of the Huntington Court Untied Methodist Church and also of Electa Chapter #33 O. E. S. Surviving are one nephew, Vernon Calloway, Welch, W Va., two nieces, Mrs Louis Curry, Phoenix, Arizona, Mrs. Joseph Birwasser, Newport News, VA. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel Saturday at 10:30 a. m. by the Rev. Jack A. Minnick. Emtombment in Sherwood Burial Park. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Library Fund of the Huntington Court Methodist Church. Friends may call at Oakey's, Roanoke.
