Research Notes:
From boards.ancestry.com - Deborah Blaufuss, January 26, 2002: I am doing research on the Blaufuss family. My branch came out of Assenheim, RheinPfalz and emigrated in the mid 1850's. They settled in Franklin Township, Lee County, Iowa. My great grandfather was Philipp Blaufuss, born 6 Jan. 1864 in Franklin. His father was Friedrich Blaufus, and his grandfather was Georg Blaufus, who married Wilhelmina Baecker. They had quite a few children, and I cannot locate a Karl Blaufus, Heinrich Blaufus (21 July 1838) or Philipp (17 april 1836. Any of these folks ring a bell?
Philipine married Friedrich Krehl on 6 Jun 1869 in St. Peters Presbyterian Church, Franklin Center, Lee Co., Iowa. (Friedrich Krehl was born circa 1828 in Wurtenberg and died on 31 Mar 1893 in Cass City, Tuscola Co., Michigan.)
