  General Notes:

The 1870 Federal Census for Franklin Township, Lee Co., Iowa, Franklin Center P. O., page 134A, dated August 8, 1870 records George Bloofus (sic) (69 - Bavaria) with his son Phillips Bloofus (35 - Bavaria). Both are employed as Carpenters; however, Phillips is listed as Insane and is denied the right to vote.

The 1880 Federal Census for Franklin Township, Lee Co., Iowa, District 8, page 109A, dated June 28, 1880 records the widower George Blaufus (80 - Bav/Bav/Bav).

George married Wilhelmina Baecker. (Wilhelmina Baecker was born circa 1795 in Bavaria and died circa 1865 in Iowa.)
