bullet  General Notes:

The 1820 Federal Census for Granville Co., NC records Fleming Blackwell (26 -45) living by himself. He has 1 male slave (<14) and indicates there are 2 people in the household engaged in agriculture. Next to Fleming is his brother Robert Blackwell and his family.

The 1850 Federal Census for Subdivision 2, Lincoln Co., TN records Fleming G. Blackwell (62 - NC) and his wife Mary N. (46 - NC) with children Margaret F. (22 - NC), Mary A. (19 - NC), Eliza J. (17 - NC), William A. (16 - NC), John E. (10 - TN), Charles F. (7 - TN), and Robert F. (5 - TN).

By 1860 it appears that son William Blackwell remains in Lincoln Co., TN while sons John and Robert move to Township 2 Range 6 East, Jackson, AL. I have found no record of their mother, Mary, in this census.
