The 1900 Federal Census for Brantlys Grove, Hertford Co., North Carolina, District 56, page 292B, dated June 26,1900 records J. R. Winborn (sic) (Oct 1852) with his wife Angie E. (June 1859) and daughter Ana R. (March 1876). J. R. works in Sales and has been married to Angie for 28 years. They have had 5 children all of whom are still living. See general notes on his brother, Thomas, for 1900 census facts that records 2 of his children farming in Nansemond Co., VA.

The 1910 Federal Census for Cypress District, Nansemond Co., Va. (ED#9, page 378A) records J. R. Winborn (55) with his wife Angie (54) and son J. R. Jr. (22). J. R. is a Merchant in General Merchandise and has been married to Angie for 36 years. They have had 5 children all of whom are still living.

John married Angenetta Evalina Harrison on 29 Jan 1873 in Isle of Wight Co., VA. (Angenetta Evalina Harrison was born on 30 Jun 1858 in Isle of Wight Co., VA and died in 1925 in Nansemond Co, VA..)

My name is Margaret (Peggy) Vaughan McKinney and I was born (1936) and raised in Portsmouth VA. I have been doing genealogy research for 55 years.
You have a great web site, but I did want to correct and add some information for you.
Thomas Parker Winborne and John Richard Winborne (Brothers) married two sisters in a double Wedding in IW Co VA (not Nansemond Co [as this researcher had recorded]) on the 29 Jan 1973 (IW Co, VA Marriage Reg A 1854-1900 p23) - Thomas Parker Winborne married Martha Sarah Harrison and John Richard Winborne married Annie E (Angenetta Evalina) (Angie) Harrison. Angie was born 30 June 1858 IW Co, VA and died 1925 in Nansemond Co, VA. I do not know where she is buried. She had at least 5 children that married.
