Published in Delaware County Daily Times on July 3, 2011 Edna M. Hagen, 89, of Honeybrook and formerly of Carlisle and Media, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Tel Hai Retirement Community in Honeybrook. She was born on Tuesday, April 18, 1922, in Colmar and was a daughter of the late Linford and Ruth (Lenhart) Davis. Edna was married for 67 years to Samuel G. Hagen, Jr., from Havertown, who died on September 9, 2008.
She was a 1940 graduate of Upper Darby High School in Upper Darby and she was a homemaker.
Edna is survived by her three children; Samuel Hagen of Christiana, Thomas Hagen of Glenmoore and Janice Hagen of York, seven grandchildren; Thomas Hagen, Jr. Of West Chester, Michael Hagen of Elverson, Daniel Hagen of Aston, Karen Hagen of Phoenixville, Jeff Hagen of Brookhaven, Steven Hagen of Philadelphia and Larry Hagen of Claymont, DE and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Yearsley.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Pastor Tim Wheeler officiating. Viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
