The 1900 Federal Census for Philadelphia, PA., Ward 29, District 721 records Samuel Garren (Nov. 1873) as a Plumber boarding at 2132 Oxford Street in the home of Sara McAtee (June 1849). Sara's children include Emma Marie (March 1876), Josephine (March 1878), John Q. (Sept 1880), and Charlottes S. (Sept 1883). Josephine is a likely candidate for Samuel's bride to be. A check of the 1880 census records for Philadelphia reveals that Sara was married to John McAtee (indexed as McAbee).
The 1910 Federal Census for Langhorne Borough, Bucks Co., PA, District 26, page 104B, dated April 20, 1910 records Samuel N. (35 - PA/PA/PA) and Josephine (31 - PA/PA/PA) Garren (indexed as Garan) with their children Sarah M. (8), Frederick B. (5), and Elizabeth A. (3) living on Pine Street. Samuel and Josephine have been married for what looks like 3 years; however, that must be a mistake because they indicate that they have had 3 children all of whom are still living, the oldest is 8. Samuel is a Plumber for the Gas Company. The family is living near the corner of Pins Street and East Richardson Avenue.
The WWI Draft Registration Card for Samuel Nicholas Green dated September 12, 1918 lists his date of birth as November 8, 1873. He is living with his wife, Josephine, at 345 Crown Street in Morris, Bucks Co., PA and is working as a Plumber for AC. V. Hill & Co. His physical description is medium height and build with blue eyes and dark hair.
The 1920 Federal Census for Morris, Bucks Co., PA, District 37, page 227 records Samuel AM. (45) and Josephine (40) Green with children Frederick B. (15), Elizabeth (13) renting a home at 106 Green Street. Also in the household is his son-in-law Harry Bleasdale (23 - NJ/NJ/PA) and his wife Sarah (18) [Sarah M. Garren]. Samuel is a Plumber at a Refrigerator Company while Harry is a Presser at the Rubber Mill. Frederick Garren is a Pipe Bender at the Rubber Mill. Next door is Harry Bleasdale's family: John G. (46) and Charlotte (44) Bleasdale with children Ronald J. (21), Virgil J. (12), and Charles T. (6).

(25) and daughter Caroline (20) living at 228 Bank Street. Samuel is a Plumber in a Plant while Fedora is a laborer at a Refrigerator Plant. One page over in the census (page 21) is Samuel's son-in-law Harry AC. Bleasdale (33 - NJ) and his wife Sarah AM. Bleasdale (29) [Sarah Green] with children Sarah HO. (10), Samuel G. (9), Charlotte E. (7), Harry AC. (5), John G. (4), Frederick (3), and Donald NW. (1) living a few doors away at 239 Bank Street.
The 1940 Federal Census for Allentown, Monmouth Co., NJ, District 13-2, page 20 records the widow Josephine Garren (62 - PA) living with her son Frederick Garren (35 - PA) and his wife Caroline (35 - NJ) and their daughter Dolores Garren (8 - NJ) at 1 North Main Street. On April 1, 1935 Josephine was living in Morrisville [Buck Co., PA] while all the others were in Trenton. Frederick is a Proprietor of a Saloon.
