The 1920 U.S. Census, Pennsylvania, Berks Co., Reading, Ward 11, District 92 records Harry G. (40) and Ella E. (33) Hagen with daughter Viola E. (15) renting a home at 1019 Buttonwood Street. Harry works in Plating at a Hardware Works. Buttonwood and Locust are very near each other and both Harry and Alexander appear to work at the same location.
The 1910 Federal Census for Pennsylvania, Schuylkill Co., Tower Boro, District 102 records Alexander (56) and Martha J. (55) Derr with children Lulu M. (16) and LeRoy A. (9). Alexander and Martha have been married 33 years with 9 children of which 6 are still living. Alexander is listed as employed as a Slate Picker and Coal Breaker.
