Anna Foster who married Nathan Melvin, son of Jonathan Melvin I, of Concord, MA was the daughter of Moses Foster, Sr, who was the son of Samuel Foster of Chelmsford.
Her brother Moses Foster, Jr. married my ancestor, Mary (Brooks) widow of Jonathan Melvin II (brother to Nathan Melvin). My best evidence is a Worchester Co. "plantation called Dorchester, Canada" deed Moses Foster Sr. to Moses Foster, Jr., witnessed by Ann Melvin and Jonathan Winchester. Dated Feb 20, 1765. History of Wayne Co. NY books states that Esther Collins, wife of Thadeus Collins is a half sister to Jonathan Melvin III (son of Mary and Jonathan II.
Anna married Nathan Melvin, son of Jonathan Melvin and Sarah Hartwell, in Mar 1759. (Nathan Melvin was born on 25 Jun 1729 in Concord, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts and died on 6 Jan 1807 in Cambridge, Vermont.)
