The 1880 Federal Census for Cedar Rapids, Linn Co., Iowa, District 256, page 73B records the widow Jane McCurie (71 - Scotland/Scotland/Scotland) living with her daughter Ellen [McCurrie] Anderson (34 - Scotland) and her husband David Anderson (44 - Scotland) and their children William (11 - IL), Jennie (9 - IL), and John (6 - IL) living on Madison Street. David Anderson is a Boiler Maker. [The birth locations for the Anderson children tell us that the McCurrrie family was living in Illinois as late as 1874] Jeane's other daughter, Catherine, is now married to William Gairns and is listed several pages over [page 86A] in this census record.

The 1900 Federal Census for Cedar Rapids, Linn Co., Iowa, District 102, page 297A records the widow Jeane McCurrie (June 1810 - Scotland/Scotland/Scotland) living with her daughter Catherine Gairnes (June 1842 - Scotland/Scotland/Scotland) and her 2 daughters Jeanie (June 1875 - Iowa/Scotland/Scotland) and Sarah (June 1881 - Iowa/Scotland/Scotland). Catherine has had 6 children of which 5 are still living. Catherine reports that she immigrated to this country in 1865. Jeane McCurrie (Jan 1810) has had 11 children of which 2 are still living and reports that she immigrated in 1865.
