June H. Scott, 80, of Lancaster, died Friday, October 19, at Masonic Homes in Elizabethtown.
She was married 59 years to James M. Scott. Born in Burley, Idaho, she was the daughter of the late Emerson L. and Lela Pearson Hagen.
Mrs. Scott retired as an inspector at Hamilton Technologies. She was a member of the Hamilton Park United Church of Christ. She was a Past Matron of the Lancaster Chapter #501 Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the Lancaster Count #70 Order of the Amaranth, and a member of the Alta Shrine #38 Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, and was Past District Deputy of District 16C of the Order of the Eastern Start. June was also a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W. Post #7418 in Gap. Her interests included traveling, golfing, crocheting and reading.
Surviving besides her husband is a son, James E., husband of Traci A. Oren Scott of Lancaster; two granddaughters, Ashli Rebecca Scott of Lancaster, and Nichole Anne Scott of Lititz; and a great grandson Jordan Tyler. She was preceded in death by a sister Margaret Molz.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 24, at 10:00 a.m. at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. An Order of Eastern Star service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 8:00 p.m.. Interment in Conestoga Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Scotts memory may be made to Masonic Homes, 1 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
