Penniah (Penny) Margaret Goodman

It appears that Penniah marries Mathew Long around 1872 and moves to Rocky Mount, Edgecombe Co., N.C. Emily Daughtrey writes that Penniah married a "Long". This couple is this most likely candidate for the family. The 1880 Federal Census for Rocky Mount, Edgecombe Co., NC, District 70, page 243B records Mathew (27) and Pennina (30) Long with children John (8), Bettie (6), William (5), Virginia (3), and Nellie (1) living with Mathew's widowed mother, Tabitha Long (70).

Penniah married Mathew Long, son of Mathew Long and Tabitha "Bitha" Taylor. (Mathew Long was born circa 1852 in Edgecombe Co., North Carolina.)
