The 1900 Federal Census, Isle of Wight Co., Va. Windsor District taken June 28, 1900 records Mary L. Cutchin (Aug 1836) living with her son Charles J. Cutchin (June 1874-single). Mary is a widow and has had 3 children of which only 1 is still living. Also in the household is Joseph G. Cutchin (Aug 1879-nephew).

Charles married about 1904, however, his mother continues to live with him. The 1910 Federal Census, Isle of Wight Co., Va. Windsor District, page 200A taken May 1910 records Charles J. (41) and Minnie L. (28) Cutchins with son Carlton (4) and his mother Mary L. Cutchins (76). Charles and Minnie have been married 6 years.

Mary is no longer listed with Charles in 1920. The 1920 Federal Census, Isle of Wight Co., Va. Windsor District, page 247B taken January 1920 records Charles J. (50) and Minnie (38) Cutchin with children Carlton L. (14) and Carolyn (8).

Mary married Josiah G. Cutchin, son of Joseph Thomas Cutchin and Margaret (Peggy) Holland. (Josiah G. Cutchin was born about 1825 in Nansemond Co, VA. and died circa 1890 in Isle of Wight Co., VA.)
