The 1850 Federal Census for Lake Township, Stark Co., Ohio records Daniel (43 - PA) and Anna (38 - PA) Evans with children Maria (13 - Ohio) and Sarah (6) Evans. Also in the household are children Samuel Harry (10 - Ohio) and Elizabeth (17 - PA) Hershy. These Hershy children are probably the children of Anna's sister, Mary Zook, who married Benjamin Hersey.
