Full military honors will accompany the service for Charles 'Chuck' Eugene Bloomfield Jr. at 10:15 a.m. June 27 at Riverside National Cemetery. Internment will be at the national cemetery as well.
Mr. Bloomfield, who went by the name Chuck, was a sergeant in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.
The son of Charles Eugene Bloomfield Sr. and Flois Coleman Bloomfield, he was born Nov. 25, 1950, in Bakersfield. He lived in Joshua Tree for one year.
Mr. Bloomfield died June 7, 2007, at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. He was 56 years old.
He worked as an electrical technician in Reno, Nev., for 15 years.
Mr. Bloomfield's father preceded him in death in 2003.
He is survived by mother Flois Bloomfield of Joshua Tree, sister and brother-in-law Karen and Jeff Smith of Morgan Hill, brother and sister-in-law William and Julia Bloomfield of Yucca Valley, sister and brother-in-law Denise and Fred Arroyo of Fontana, nephew and niece Colin and Maggie Smith of Wildomar, nephew Ryan Smith of Morgan Hill, niece Lindsay Spate of Fontana, niece and nephew Briana and James Wiggins of Twentynine Palms and nephew Beau Bloomfield of Yucca Valley.
