  General Notes:

The 1850 Federal Census for Wayne Co., Virginia [now West Virginia], District 66, page 260A, dated August 28, 1850 records Jackson Wilson (35) with wife Nancy (32) and children Anjaline (14), Gooddine (12), Martha (10), Polly (8), Lindsey (6), James (4), and Elizabeth (2) all born in Va. Next door is Goodin Lycan Jr. (19 - VA) and his wife Amanda (18 - VA). The 1840 Federal Census records Jackson and family living in Cabell Co., (West) VA.

The 1860 Federal Census for Mason Township, Lawrence Co., Ohio records Jackson's wife, Nancy, with her new husband (since 1855) with her son Samuel Wilson age 10 born in Ohio. Apparently Jackson took his family to Ohio while Nancy was pregnant and Jackson died sometime in the early 1850s in Ohio. It should be noted that Wayne County, (West) Virginia is along the border of Lawrence Co., Ohio and Boyd Co., Kentucky and border Cabell Co., (West) Virginia as well. Jackson married Nancy Lycans on 21 Jun 1835 in Cabell Co., VA [now WV]. (Nancy Lycans was born in Oct 1818 in Kentucky and died after 1900 in Lawrence Co., Ohio.)
