The 1900 Federal Census for Coal Grove Village, Upper Township, Lawrence Co., Ohio (ED#80, page 45B) taken June 5, 1900 records Harry Ackison (24 - Ohio/Ohio/KY) living with his mother widowed Helen Griffith (June 1858 - KY/KY/KY) and siblings Elmer (Sept 1881 - Ohio/Ohio/KY), Minnie (March 1884 - Ohio/Ohio/KY), and John Ackison (July 1888 - Ohio/Ohio/KY), and 1/2 brother Eugene Griffith (Nov 1897 - Ohio/Ohio/KY).

The 1910 Federal Census for Coal Grove Village, Upper Township, Lawrence Co., Ohio (ED#97, page 92B) records Harry Ackison (24 - Ohio/Ohio/KY) living with his mother widowed Hellen Griffith (51 - KY/KY/VA), brother John M. Ackison (20 - Ohio/Ohio/KY), and 1/2 brother Eugene Griffith (12 - Ohio/KY/KY) on Locust Street. Harry and John work at a Saw Mill.

The WWI Draft Registration Card for Harry Edmund Achison records his date of birth as March 6, 1876. His present occupation is "brick works". He is married to Fannie Ackison and lives in Coal Grove. He is medium height and build with brown eyes and brown hair. He lists that he has a "thumb off of right hand". He signs his card Harry E. Ackison.

The WWII Draft Registration Card (for men born on or after April 28, 1877 and on or before February 16, 1897) for Harry Edman Ackison dated April 27, 1942 lists his date of birth as March 6, 1886 in Lawrence Co., Ohio. He is living with his wife, Fannie Ackison, on Marion Pike in Coal Grove, Lawrence Co., Ohio. He is working for H. E. Imes at the Sement Salvey (sic) in Ironton and his physical description is 6', 176 lbs with hazel eyes, brown hair and dark complexion. He signs his card Harry E. Ackinson. He lists that he has a "thumb off - right hand".
