Catherine H. Pietsch, 89, of Paradise, died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at her residence. She was born in Lancaster the daughter of the late Harry G. and Elizabeth D. Hagen and was the widow of Elwood H. Pietsch who died in April 1987. Catherine was a homemaker but had also worked for Tyson Foods in New Holland, the Good & Plenty Bakery, and in the laundry of the Lancaster Host Hotel. She enjoyed gardening and her automobile.
She is survived by her sisters Elizabeth H. Schroeder of Holtwood, and Winifred L. Hanna of Cambridge Springs, PA, one grandson, four great grandchildren, and one great great grandson. She was preceded in death by a son Harold L. Beck, brothers Lester G. Eager Hagen and Louis C. Hagen and a great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 26, 2010 at 11 AM from Young Funeral Home, 317 East Orange Street, Lancaster. Burial will be in Riverview Burial Park. There will be no public viewing. Online condolences may be made through our website: www.youngfuneralhome.com
