In a January 23, 2012 email from Murphy researcher, Sherry Murphy regarding Edward Murphy:
... I can not remember if I sent the whole Edward Murphy line ... or not. I have some lovely photos from line also. That would be another one of Peter and Rose's children. He went out to the state of Washington. There is still a living off shoot [off spring] living out went [west] from that line.

From that description above the census records below indicate that said Edward Murphy:
The 1910 Federal Census for Valley Precinct, Steven County, Washington, District 223, page 250A, dated May 19, 1910 records Edward (52 - PA/Irish/Irish) and Bridget (32 - England/Scot/England) Murphy with their children Edward (11 - Montana), Earl (8 - Montana), Rose (6 - Montana), and Margaret (3 - Montana). Edward and Bridget have been married for 12 years and have had 4 children all of whom are still living. Edward is employed as a Proprietor at a Hotel.

The 1910 Federal Census for Valley Precinct, Stevens County, Washington, District 223, page 250A, dated May 19, 1910 records Edward (42 - PA/Irish/Irish) and Bridget (32 - Eng/Scot/Eng) Murphy with their children Edward (11 - Montana), Earl (8 - Montana), Rose (6 - Montana), and Margaret (3 - Montana) living on Mill District Road. Edward and Bridget have been married for 12 years and have had 4 children all of whom are still living. Edward is employed as a Proprietor at a Hotel.

The 1920 Federal Census for Dodd Precinct, Spokane City, Spokane County, Washington, District 230, page 216B, dated January 10, 1920 records Edward (52 - PA/Irish/Irish) and Bridget (41 - England/Scotland/England) Murphy with their children Edward (20 - Montana), Earl (18 - Montana), Rose (16 - Montana), and Margaret (12 - Montana) living at 920 W. Maxwell Avenue. Edward is employed as a Merchant of Confections. Bridget indicates that she immigrated in 1883 and became a citizern in 1897 ... she does not report the date of her immigration in the 1910 census.

The 1930 Federal Census for Spokane City, Spokane County, Washington, District 14, page 158B, dated April 3, 1930 records Edward (62 - PA/Irish/Irish) and Bridget (52 - England/Scotland/England) Murphy with their daughters Rosemary P. (26 - Montana) and Margaret B. (22 - Montana) living at 3227 Regal Street. Edward and Bridget have been married for 32 years. Edward is employed as a Retail Merchant of Groceries. Bridget indicates that she immigrated in 1885.

The 1940 Federal Census for Spokane City, Spokane County, Washington, District 41-27, page 453A, dated April 2, 1940 records Edward E. (72 - PA) and Bridget M. (61 - England) Murphy with their daughter Rose M. (35 - Montana) living at 3227 Regal Street. Edward has completed 8 years of grade school while Bridget has completed 7 years and Rose 4 years of High School. Edward is employed as a Groceryman in a Private Business and owns his home valued at $750.

Edward married Bridget Hunt circa 1898. (Bridget Hunt was born on 6 May 1877 in England and died in Sep 1967 in Spokane, Washington.)
