William B. (Bill) Allen

  General Notes:

William Allen and his wife, Fannie Daughtrey, apparently moved sometime in the 1890s from Norfolk to Southampton County. Fannie died in 1896 (see general notes for Fannie Emmeline Daughtrey) and William remained in Franklin: The 1900 Federal Census for Franklin, Southampton Co., VA, District 61, page 165B, dated June 29, 1900 records William Allen (January 1835 - VA/VA/VA) as a lodger in the home of Marjorie Denson (March 1833).

William married Fanny Emmeline Daughtrey, daughter of Matthew Daughtrey and Mary A. (Nancy). (Fanny Emmeline Daughtrey was born circa 1837 in Isle of Wight Co., VA and died on 14 Sep 1896 in Southampton Co., VA.)
