The 1900 Federal Census for Callands, Pittsylvania Co., Va., Dist 71, page 232A records the widower Abner Adkins (January 1830). Also in the household is his daughter, Fanny (Dec 1860), who recently married John Colbar (May 1865). Next door is Abner's son John Adkins (Dec 1860) with his wife Mary J. (May 1870) and their children Stonewall J. (Sept 1885), John G. (Jan 1888), Fannie F. (May 1891), Alma Feb 1893), Levi (April 1896), Fletcher L. (Jan 1898), and Susie (May 1900). A few pages over in the census record is Abner's son William Adkins (June 1857) with his wife Malinda A. [Matilda] (July 1849) with their children Ada L. (July 1868[78]), Mary J. (Mar 1881), Magdalene (June 1882), Mattie M (July 1887), William H. (Nov 1889).

Fannie married John Colbar circa 1900 in Pittyslvania Co., Virginia. (John Colbar was born in May 1865 in Virginia and died after 1900 in Callands, Pittsylvania Co., VA.)
