The 1910 Federal Census for Virginia, Augusta Co., South River, District 47, page 143B records George McC. Craig (48-VA) married to Mary (48-Florida) with children Benjamin (21-Florida), Mar (18-Florida), Elizabeth (16-Florida), Evelyn (13-Florida), Eugenia (11-Florida), and Helen (7-VA) living at Basic Heights near Highland Avenue. George and Mary have been married 23 years with 6 children.

By 1920 George Craig has moved to Maryland with some of his family in order to manage an Apple Farm. The 1920 Federal Census for Maryland, Allegany Co., Old Town, District 2, page records George McC Craig (58) with children Benjamin J. (31), Eveline V. (22), Eugenia E. (19) and Helen M. (16). Benjamin is employed as what looks like Assisland Postmaster. The family is indexed as McCraig.

It appears that George moves around alot in that by 1930 he is in Texas: The 1930 Federal Census for Edinburg, Hidalgo Co, Texas, District 38, page records the widower George M. Craig (68 - VA/VA/VA) lodging in a Hotel. He is employed as a "Horticulturalist" in the Citrus Industry.

The "McC" as part of his given name is apparently McChesney in that the WWI Draft Registration for his son, Mars, records the name Mars McChesney Craig. Further research indicates that his mother's maiden name was McChesney

George married Mary Eugenia Johnston circa 1886 in Florida. (Mary Eugenia Johnston was born on 16 Mar 1862 in Hillsboro Co., Florida and died on 1 Jan 1915 in Salem, Roanoke Co., VA..)
