George P. Lucas

  General Notes:

George P. Lucas enlisted in Company F, 11th Infantry Regiment Virginia as a Private on March 10, 1862 at the age of 20. He became a POW on June 30, 1862 at Mechanicsville, VA and was exchanged on August 5, 1862.
George was wounded on May 16, 1864 at Drewry's Bluff, VA (in abdomen) and was a POW on April 1, 1865 at Five Forks, VA. He was confined on April 4, 1865 at Point Lookout, MD and took the Oath of Allegiance on June 28, 1865 at Point Lookout, MD (Released). His physical description include Height: 5' 11".
