The 1920 Federal Census for Callands, Pittsylvania Co., VA, District 140, page 72B, dated January 19, 1920 records the widower Ardina Kindrick (72 - VA/VA/VA) living with her son Johnson Kindrick (49 - VA/VA/VA). Johnson is probably Ardina's son, William J. Kendrick. Nearby is her niece by marriage, Cora Mae Adkins Kendrick and family.

Ardina married John Sanders Kendrick, son of Owen Sanford Sr. Adkins and Louisa Kendrick, on 12 Mar 1868 in Pittsylvania Co, VA. (John Sanders Kendrick was born in Jan 1838 in Museville, Pittsylvania Co., VA. and died circa 1905 in Pittsylvania Co., VA.)

Cemnsus records indicate that John Sanders Kendrick was married to an Adriana not a Francis. Researching 1850 and 1860 census records reveals:
The 1860 Federal Census for North District, Pittsylvania Co., VA, Chatam P. O., page 73, dated August 4, 1860 records Joseph Kasey (43 - VA) with Francis Kasey (34 - VA), Nancy Kasey (31 - VA), Permelia Kasey (17), Josephine Kasey (7), and Elizabeth Kasey (3 - VA).
and
The 1860 Federal Census for North District, Pittsylvania Co., VA, Callands P. O., page 32, dated July 9, 1860 records John Kasey (27 - VA) with Salley Kasey (30 - VA), Ardina Kasey (13 - VA), George Kasey (10),and William Kasey (2).
and
Both Francis and Nancy Kasey (Casey) are reported in the 1880 Pittsylvanioa Co. Census ...
Thus ... this researcher believes John Saunders Kendrick married Ardina Kasey ... and her mother was Salley Kasey as indicated on the marriage record above. Perhaps Ardina's middle name was Francis as she repeated is described as Ardina F. Kendrick.
