William A. Seckler, 57, died unexpectedly at his home, 2500 Bristol Highway, at 12.05 a.m. Friday.
An electrician of Kingsport Utilities he worked Thursday and appeared in usual good health at the time of his retirement last night.
He had lived here 8 years after coming here from North Wilkesboro, N. C. He was a member of Glenwood Baptist Church.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lucy Nunn Seckler; six children Mrs. Harold Bumgartner of North Wilkesboro, Mrs. Howard Mitchell, Fordtown, Mrs. Guy McGrady, 1700 C Street, William D. Seckler, North Wilkesboro, Jack H. Seckler, Abbington, VA, Joe F. Seckler, Kingsport; three sister, Mrs. Thorn Beaver, China Grove, N. C. and Mrs. Jack Freeze, Concord, N. C., and Mrs. Dick Correll, Newport News, VA; two brothers, Wed Seckler of China Grove and Mack Seckler, Landis, N. C.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Sunday at Glenwood Baptist Church with the Rev. J. C. Blaclock in Charge. Burial will be in City Cemetery.
The body will be removed to the home from Hamlett-Dodson Chapel Saturday morning.
