The 1900 Federal Census for Stoney Creek, Nash Co., N.C., District 66, page 243B, dated June 2, 1900 records W. B. [D] (Feb 1857 - NC/NC/NC) and Nannie (July 1869 - NC/NC/NC) with children George (March 1889), Edie (March 1887), Clide (Dec 1891), Cora (April 1893), Bessie (Jan 1894), and Annie (Aug 1895). W. B. [D] is 1 page over in the census record from his father, W. H. Strum. W. B. and Nannie have been married X years. Nannie has had 5 children of whom 4 are still living.

The 1910 census presents an interesting senario in that it appears Cora, Bessie, and Annie [from 1900 census above] are Nannie's children from another marriage and George, Edie, and Clide [from 1900 census above] are William's children from another marriage ... [Lucy Frazier]
The 1910 Federal Census for Stoney Creek, Nash Co., N.C., District 78, page 258B, dated May 10, 1910 records William D. (53 - NC/NC/NC) and Nannie F. (40 - NC/NC/NC) with children George L. (23), Daniel A. (21), Sallie L. (9), Willie E. (7), Robert H. (5), Lella M. (2), and Infant (2/12). Also listed are daughters Carrie B. Brewer (18), Lessie L. Brewer (16), and Annie C. Brewer (13). William is a farmer and has been married to Nannie for 10 years. This is the 2nd marriage for both. Nannie has had 10 children of whom 8 are still living.

The 1920 Federal Census for Red Oak, Brunswick Co., VA, District 12, page 157B, dated January 22, 1920 records W. D. (62 - NC/NC/NC) and Nannie (50 - NC/NC/NC) Strum with children Lucile (18 - NC), William E. (16 - NC), Robert H. (14 - NC), Lela (12 - NC), Sam (10 - NC), Rachael (6 - NC), and Woodrow (3 - NC). W. D. is a farmer.

Interesting to note that by 1930 many family members return to Nash Co., NC: The 1930 Federal Census for Rocky Mount, Nash Co., NC, District 28, page 37A, dated April 5, 1930 records married mother-in-law Nannie F. Strum (60 - NC/NC/NC) with her children William E. Strum (25), Rachel L. Strum (16), and Woodroe W. Strum (14) living with Nannie's married daughter, Bessie L. Tharrington (34) and her husband Ellilee Tharrington (36) at 231 Tillery Street.
