Lewis G. Stone enlisted as a Private in Company G, 24th Infantry Regiment Virginia on June 5, 1861 at Lynchburg, Va. Detailed as a nurse in the Fall of 1861. He died of Pneumonia on October 19, 1861 in Manassas, VA
