Smith (Oct 1845) living with her son Bernard E. Smith (Nov 1865) and his wife May F. (Sept 1873) and their children St Clair (May 1893) [St. Clair Harold Smith - May 22, 1893], Gordon F. (Aug 1894), Roy B. (Oct 1895), Anna (July 1897), Bernard E. Jr. (April 1900). Lucy has had 6 children of whom 5 are still living while Mary has been married for 8 years and has had 5 children all of whom are living.

The 1910 Federal Census for Chase City District, Mecklenburg Co., VA, District 55, page 167B taken April 29, 1910 records Elvin Smith (13) living with his parents J. C. B. (43 - VA/VA/VA) and Jennie L. (40 - VA/Canada/NY) Smith with children Cornelia A. (20), Bernita (18), Clifford B. (15), Lizzie Smith (10), Roland Y. (7), and Horton A. (1 9/12). Also in the household is J.B.C.'s widowed mother Lucy J. Smith (64) who indicates she has had 6 children all of whom are still living. J.C.B. and Jennie have been married for 21 years and have had 7 children.

Louise married John J. Smith, son of Unknown and Unknown. (John J. Smith was born circa 1840 in Chase City, Mecklenberg Co., Virginia and died circa 1890 in Christiansville, Mecklenburg Co., Virginia.)
