Subject: Elijah Conradt (1805-)
Hi my name is Peggy Conrad. My husband's name is Dwight Conrad. His grandfather was Chester Arthur Conrad. His great grand father was John W Conrad. His great great was Elijah Conradt and Mary Ann Waters. John W. Conrad was in the civil war in Pa. He was connected to the 97th Regiment Co. G. His Wife was Matilda but called Tillie (Parker). Not much is known. But we do know that he is buried in West Catasauqua, PA in Fairview Cemetery. His wife and his grandson Chester are buried in Allentown. Will have to get cemetery name from Dwight. Dwight's aunt Sarah E. Conrad, became Mrs. David Vanaman in Birdsboro, Berks County. She died Oct. 28,1918. And buried in Birdsboro, Along with a daughter Laura Vanaman who died Oct,7, 1922. Sarah was 80 and Laura was 63. She also had a sons Warren, Albert, and another daugher Adelaide. We were wondering if there is any info. on where Elijah, Mary Ann and Elisabeth are buried. And any other information you would be willing to share. We dont know much or have much but know where some of the people might be. There were two Randolph's the youngest born 1879 supposidly became an actor, but no one seems to know where he ended up. Rumours Massachuetts New York or even the state of Washington. John W. was a puddler. Thank you for taking the time to read this. It is truly appreciated. Sincerely Peggy and Dwight E. Conrad

Hi thank you for responding. And so fast. Like I said not much information at this end. Mary Ann Waters information I must admit came from Rootsweb World connection. Her father was named Richard. Lived in Anne Arundel Maryland. I don't know how far away that is from you though. Don't recall if a cemetary was mentioned. But if all match up tons of information about the Waters family. As to finding about Mary Ann, I did come across your great information. We just only joined ancestors it was an early birthday present for me. I really love doing this, I hope to find the same for my side one day. As much pops into my brain I will let you know. Ah! do you recall the name Benjamin E. Conrad, well he was born in Maryland Dec. 25,1838 and died in Philly Nov. 19,1911. he was a member on the Knights of Pythias. Please go into find a grave there are images of both Ben in Philly John W. in catty and Tillie in Allentown all in pa. Once again thank you. Sincerely Peggy
