The 1920 Federal Census for Augusta, Richmond Co., GA, District 111 records the widow Minnie L. Anderson (37) and her son Meredith (11).

There is a WWI Draft Registration Card from Richmond Co., GA dated Sept 12, 1918 for Lafayette Anderson who is listed as born July 2, 1882. This appears to be "our" Lafayette Anderson although he lists his wife as Anna Anderson and they are living in Hephzibah, Richmond Co., GA. Lafayette's physical description is medium height with stout build and brown eyes and dark hair. He signs his card as L. F. Anderson.

The 1910 Federal Census for Augusta, Ward 3, Richmond Co., GA, District 74 records Lafayette Anderson (27 - GA/GA/GA) with his wife Anna Anderson (23 - GA/SC/SC), They have been married for 5 years and have had 2 children of whom both are still living. It is of interest that 2 children are listed in the household, Sinnie Mae Turner (10 - SC/SC/SC) and Doris Turner (3 - SC/SC/SC), but they are listed as nieces. Lafayette is a farmer. Next door is William(44) and Savanah (34) Anderson and their children Claude (17), Travis (13), Madie (11), Lawrence (10), Otis (8), Nettie (7), Iola (5), and Inez (1).

Artemus married Minnie Lee Morgan, daughter of David Ellison (Tom) Morgan and Sarah Rebecca Daughtrey, circa 1907 in Richmond Co., GA.
