Charles is a farmer and has been married to Sallie for 7 years.

The WWI Draft Registration Card for Charles William Via records on Sept 12, 1918 his date of birth as 1874. He is currently living in Bassett, VA with his wife, Sallie Bet Via. He is of medium height and slender build with brown eyes and black hair.

Charles dies ca 1918 in that the 1920 census records Sallie as a widow: The 1920 Federal Census for Martinsville, Henry Co., Va, District 115, page 186A records the widow Sallie B. Via (46) with children Samuel T. (23), Bessie M. (21), Velnia V. (17), Hattie E. (14), John J. (12), James E. (10), and William H. (2 11/12) living on the Daniels Creek Road.

Charles married Sallie Bet Craig. (Sallie Bet Craig was born in Sep 1872 in Virginia and died after 1930 in Henry Co, VA.)
