General Notes:
The 1900 Federal Census for Wilkes Barre, Luzerne, PA, Ward 9 (ED#166, page 231B) records Ethel Cooper (Oct 1899) with her parents Boyd (April 1876) and Nellie (March 1873) Cooper.
The 1910 Federal Census for Lackawanna Township, Lackawanna Co., PA, District 36, page 195A records Boyd (38) and Nellie (38) Cooper with daughter Ethel (10). Boyd and Nellie have been married for 12 years.
It appears that by 1920 Ethel and her dad have moved back to Wilkes Barre. Although the census data is somewhat unusual, the following record is most likely the correct family: The 1920 Federal Census for Wilkes Barre, Luzerne, PA, Ward 15 (ED#260, page 53A) records the widow Alice Connor (57) with daughters Marion Connor (16), Gerda Connor (14), and Ethel Connor (20). Also in the household are son-in-law Boyd Cooper (43) and his wife, daughter of Alice, Mabel Cooper (38). The fact that Ethel is placed out of order probably means that she is Boyd's daughter and since the age difference between Mabel and Nellie (from above census record) is 10 years, that Boyd is in a second marriage.
