bullet  General Notes:

The 1900 Federal Census for Broken Bow, Custer Co., Nebraska, District 61, page 50A records Mabel C. Routh (Sept 1890 - Indiana/Iowa/Indiana) living with her widowed father Albert Routh (Aug 1857 - Iowa/Ohio/Indiana) and siblings Frank A. (Aug 1880 - Indiana), and Harry L. (June 1885 - Illinois). Also in the household is Nancy Ager (Oct 1829 - Indiana/Indiana/Indiana) who is listed as "mother". It is interesting that Nancy is listed as having had no children ... pretty tough to be a "mother" that way. Perhaps she is a step mother or that Albert's mother remarried and had no children with her 2nd husband. The 1860 census indicates that Albert's mother was indeed a "Nancy" ... see notes on Albert Routh.

The Custer County Republican, January 07, 1909, Page 8
A very pretty wedding was solemnized on Christmas day at high noon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Routh when their daughter, Mabel C., was united in marriage to Mr. Frank Cramer son of Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Cramer and Carrie E. Fox, daughter of Mrs. A. Springtube of New Henlena was united to Mr. Harry L. Routh. The ceremony was performed by Rev. R. H. Thompson. The two couples took their places to the strains of Mendelssohn's wedding march, under an arch in the center of which hung a large white bell, the whole being decorated with holly. The brides were neatly attired in cream colored mohair trimmed with cream tucked satin. After congratulations the company sat down to a bountiful Christmas dinner. The afternoon was pleasantly spent in a social way and all departed wishing the newly wedded couples long lives of happiness and prosperity.
