American Civil War Soldiers at ancestry.com records:
Samuel Patchell enlisted and was commissioned as a Lieutenant 1st Class in Company D, 130th Infantry Regiment Pennsylvania on 10 August 1862. He was mustered out of Company D, 130th Infantry Regiment Pennsylvania on 21 May 1863 in Harrisburg, PA.
Samuel was wounded at the Battle of Antitam and died from wounds taken in Battle.
