bullet  Research Notes:

From an email dated Sept 28, 2011:
Hi,

I sort of, accidentally, ran across your ancestry pages. I have been real interested in my father's side of our family, particulary my grandmother's family.

I haven't dug deeply enough, yet, to understand how we may be related. It looks like through the Cramer line. My great-grandmother was Estella Jahrus. My grandmother was Elizabeth Perrin (Schrader). My ?GG aunt Edna Jahrus was a nurse (and I am). I look a lot like her and because of those two things became interested in finding out more about the Jahrus part of our family. I have a great deal of information about my great-aunt Edna. She was a nurse with the American Red Cross during WWI and went to Siberia. I have her journals from that time, news articles, newsletters, photos, etc. I also have her journals that were written as she was growing up in Traverse City, MI. I believe her father owned a cigar factory in Traverse City, the building is still there as is the house they all lived in.

I know a little about my grandma's sisters - Virginia, Camilla, Catherine, and I can't recall the last one who was not close to the family for some unknown reason.

If you would like more information on these people, I would be happy to compile what I have and send it to you - no promises as to when - but will try to make it a priority.

Thank you SO much for doing the extensive research that you have done. It'll make my job, for my family, so much easier.
