(12 - PA), Arabel (9 - PA), George (3 - Ohio), Louesa (10 - Ohio), and Jane (1 - Ohio). Henry is a Plasterer with real estate valued at $500 and a personal estate of $100. Also in the household are Mary Grove (58 - Maryland) and David Grove (24 - VA). David is a Grocer and Mary has real estate valued at $800 and a personal estate of $400.

The 1870 Federal Census for Urbana, Champaign Co., Ohio, page 473B records Henry Creamer (48 - PA) with his wife Mary A. (44 - Ireland) and children Anna M. (22 - PA), Bell (19 - PA), George (12 - Ohio), Jennie (11 - Ohio), Ida (9 - Ohio), and Elizabeth (7 - Ohio). Henry is a Plasterer with real estate valued at $3,000 and a personal estate of $300.

The 1880 Federal Census for Urbana, Champaign Co., Ohio, District 31, page 439A records Henry Cramer (58 - PA) with his wife Mary A. (56 - Ireland) and children Belle (28 - PA), George (22 - Ohio), Jennie (20 - Ohio), and Ida (17 - Ohio), Lizzie (16 - Ohio), and Charles (10 - Ohio) living on Louden Street not far from his brothers and their families on Russel Street. Henry is a Plasterer and George is a Clerk in a Drug Store and Bell is divorced. The Cramer family is running a boarding house and boards 8 people and employ a servant. Several pages over in the census record is the future husband of Ida Cramer, Alfred Jahraus.

Henry Cramer died Saturday at his home [paper Thurs 25 Feb 1892]. He was 73 years old and lived in Urbana since 1856, father of George Cramer, the druggist.

The following email establishes Mary Cramer as an aunt to George Cramer, son of Henry, and the will of Mary Cramer confirms Henry Cramer as the brother of Samuel Cramer and son of George Cramer: ... see general notes on Henrys' son, George, as well as notes on Henry's sister, Mary.

Miss Mary Cramer, aunt of George Cramer the druggist died on last Friday night. [Champaign Democrat Thurs 14 Jul 1892]


Probate Court Records from Pat Stickley at The Champaign County Genealogical Society record the dates of birth and death to be 8/16/1810 - 2/20/1892 and that he was born in York Co., PA. The 8/16/1810 is probably a transcription error and should be 1818 or 1819. Henry is buried in Lot 52, Section 66 next to his wife, Mary.
