DAYTON \emdash A 153-year-old tradition will end this summer when the state closes the inpatient facility for the mentally ill on Wayne Avenue once known as Dayton State Hospital.

A 1932 Ohio death certificate for an Anna Campbell appears to be our Anna Cramer ... see medical notes. Her death certificate records her place of birth as Lisbon, [Venango Co.], PA but I have no evidence that her family was ever there.

bullet  Research Notes:

It appears that Anna married Archibald J. Campbell and moved to Michigan:
The 1880 Federal Census for Au Sable Township, Iosco Co., Michigan, District 145, page 380B, dated June 23, 1880 records Archie Campbell (33 - Canada/Canada/Canada) with his wife Annie Campbell (32 - Canada/Canada/Canada). There are also 3 boarders in the household.

Although the above census indicates this Annie Campbell was born in Canada, the 1900 census below appears to be the same Anna Campbell and she indicates not only was she born in PA but her father was as well and that her mother was born in Ireland. This is consistent with known facts about "our" Anna Cramer.

The 1900 Federal Census for Au Sable Township, Iosco Co., Michigan, District 102, page 17A, dated June 20, 1900 records the widow Anna Campbell (Jan 1848 - PA/PA/Ireland). She has had no children.
