The 1880 Federal Census for Center Township, Monona Co., Iowa, District 149, page 10A dated June 21, 1880 records Samuel H. Mann (32 - VA/VA/VA) with his wife Cathren (sic) (21 - Iowa/VA/Ohio) and daughter Belle (8/12 - Iowa).

An 1895 census for Center Township, Monoa Co., Iowa records Samuel H. Mann (48 - WV) with his wife Louisa (35 - Monona Co.) and children Belle B. (15 - Monona Co.), Daniel F. (9 - Monona Co.), Ettie M. (5 - Monona Co.), and Cassa (1 - Monona Co.).

The 1900 Federal Census for Center Township, Monona Co., Iowa, District 64, page 24A records Samuel H. Mann (Jan 1846 - WV) with his wife Louise (Feb 1859 - Iowa/VA/Ohio) and children Belle (Oct 1880 - Iowa), Floyd (Nov 1885 - Iowa), Etta (May 1889 - Iowa), Catherine (May 1893 - Iowa), and Jewel (Sept 1898 - Iowa). Samuel and Louise have been married for 20 years and have had 7 children of whom 5 are still living.

The 1910 Federal Census for Center Township, Monona Co., Iowa, District 69, page 24A records Samuel H. Mann (64 - WV) with his wife Louisa C. (51 - Iowa/KY/Ohio) and children Etty M. (20 - Iowa), Catherine (16 - Iowa), and Jewel M. (10 - Iowa). Samuel and Louise have been married for 31 years and have had 2 (sic perhaps 7?) children of whom 5 are still living.
