The 1870 Federal Census for Center Township, Monoa Co., Iowa, Castana P. O. records Louisa King (11 - Iowa) living with her parents Samuel (81 - VA) and Louisa (50 - Ohio) King and siblings Sharlot (13 - Iowa) and Josephine (9 - Iowa). Samuel King is a farmer with real estate valued at $10,000 and a personal estate valued at $1,400. By 1880, Louisa King is a widow living with her married daughter, Josephine: The 1880 Federal Census for Center Township, Monona Co., Iowa, District 149, page 9A dated June 19, 1880 records Louisa C. King (55 - Ohio/Ohio/Ohio) living in the home of Damiel Beaton (27) and his wife Josphine [King] (19) and daughter Maud (1).
Note: Samuel is recorded as born ca 1789 in Virginia, however, other recorded documents indicate he was born in what is now called Kentucky but at that time was known as Virginia.

Louisa married Samuel Hutchison Mann, son of Floyd Mann and Elizabeth (Betsy) Batton Wiseman, on 12 Oct 1878 in Monona County, Iowa. (Samuel Hutchison Mann was born in Jan 1846 in Monroe Co., [West] VA and died after 1910 in Center Township, Monona Co., Iowa.)
