ROXBORO -- Mrs. Eva Kendrick Davis, age 76, of 2087 Leasburg Rd., died Saturday at her home, following an extended illness.

Mrs. Davis was a native of Chatham County, Va., daughter of the late John H. and Mattie Adkins Kendrick. She was the wife of the late Odell J. Davis. She was a World War II Air Force veteran and was the secretary of the V.F.W. Post No. 2058 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of Brooksdale United Methodist Church and the church choir and was a retired secretary of Pat Brown Lumber Co.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in Brooksdale United Methodist Church by Rev. Chris Meyer. Interment will be in Ebenezer Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Leasburg.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Victoria D. Webster, of Timberlake; two sons, Mr. Larry J. Davis, of Roxboro, and Mr. Harry E. Davis, of Leasburg; one sister, Mrs. Avis K. Oakes, of Roxboro; six grandsons, Don Davis, Brent Davis, Tommy Davis, Phillip Davis, Christopher Webster, and Nickey Webster; and three great-granddaughters, Melissa Davis, Jordann Davis, and Justice Davis.

Active pallbearers were grandsons and Wayne Kendrick and Maynard Kendrick.

Eva married someone Odell Jefferson Davis. (Odell Jefferson Davis was born on 24 Mar 1923, died on 31 Dec 1989 in Person Co., N.C. and was buried in Ebenezer Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery , Person Co., NC.)
