The 1900 Federal Census for the Callands District, Pittsylvania Co., VA, District 70, page 211A, dated June 4, 1900 records Taz (1865) and Mary W. (1875) Rigney with their children Walter J. (March 1891), Daniel W. (July 1893), Nannie K. (1895), and Millard T. (June 1898). Also in the household are Taz's widowed brother, William Rigney (1860) and Taz's nephew Beadford Rigney (1878). Taz and Mary have been married for 15 years and have had 7 children of whom 4 are still living. Interesting that the birth date for Mary with the years married means she was married at age 10! The 1910 census gives more realistic dates for her as well and her husband ...
