They are living near Owen Adkins Jr., Sally's 1/2 brother. Also in the household are Ellen Adkins (9) and Amy Adkins (7).
The 1860 Federal Census for the Northern District, Pittsylvania Co., VA, Callands P. O., page 213 records Sally [Adkins] Rigney (30) with her husband Owen Rigney (34) and children Elinor G. (16), Susan (12), John W. (9), Tabitha J. (8), Bawker (6), and Tazewell C. (3).
The 1870 Federal Census for the Northern District, Pittsylvania Co., VA, Chatham P. O., page 254B records Sallie [Adkins] Rigney (40) with her husband Owen Rigney (50) and children John W. (21), Tabitha J. (16), John B. (15), William (13), and Tazewell (12).
The 1880 Federal Census for the Callands District, Pittsylvania Co., VA, page 71B records Sallie [Adkins] Rigney (55) with her husband Owen Rigney (56) and children Booker (25), William (23), and Tazewell (21). Tazewell is listed as a farmer and head of household and also in that household is Tazewell's nephew, Benjamin Lee Rigney (13). Owen is listed as employed as "Repairs & Wagons".

Family stories passed down to Desmond Kendrick, Archivist of Henry, Pittyslvania, and Franklin Counties, record Sallie Adkins, daughter of Owen and Fannie Adkins, was married to Owen Rigney. This record above is most likely "our" Owen Rigney ... the Rigna and Adams could please passed as transcription errors; however, this researcher can not explain the William and Bettie as parents of Sallie.
There is a William Adkins who married Elizabeth Thacker in 1805 in Pittsylvania Co.; however, it appears that by 1820 the family moved to Eastern Kentucky.
Sally married Owen Rigney. (Owen Rigney was born circa 1821 in Virginia and died after 1880 in Callands, Pittsylvania Co., VA.)
