They have had 3 children all of whom are still living.

The 1920 Federal Census for Norfolk City, Madison Ward, Virginia, District 96, page 75A, dated January 25, 1920 records Harvey (50) and Lelia A. (48) Daughtrey with their children Thalia (25), Ralph N. (23), and Ruth (14) living at 531 Olney Road at the Olney Court Apartments. Harvey is an Assembler at a Carriage Factory, Lelia is a Manager at a Cafe, while Thalia is a Book Keeper at a Bank and Ralph is a Book Keeper at a Fertilizer Company.

The 1940 Federal Census for Norfolk City, Madison Ward, Virginia, District 114-51, page 624A, records the widow Lelia A. Daughtrey (69) with her daughter Ruth Daughtrey (36) living at 408 Boissevain Avenue paying $24 / month in rent. Ruth is a saleslady at a department store earning $875 working 52 weeks during the last year.
Note: Lelia & Ruth are listed again several pages over, page 625B, as the widow Lelia Daughtrey (67) with her daughter Ruth Daughtrey (35) living at 402 Boissevain Avenue paying $23 / month in rent. Ruth is a secretary at a department store earning $660 working 52 weeks during the last year.
