Archibald is identified in the 1860 and 1920 census records ... see general notes on his wife, Mary, and his son William Jamison. Apparently Archibald was a Volunteer during the Civil War and Mary divorced him or left him in that Archibald is found in the Central Branch National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers in the 1900 Federal Census: Jefferson Township, Montgomery County, Ohio, District 90, page 39A, dated June 19, 1900 records Archibald Jamison ( Oct 1835 - PA/Scotland/PA) as an inmate at the Central Branch National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers. He has no occupation listed.
