bullet  General Notes:

Archibald is identified in the 1860 and 1920 census records ... see general notes on his wife, Mary, and his son William Jamison.
Apparently Archibald was a Volunteer during the Civil War and Mary divorced him or left him in that Archibald is found in the Central Branch National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers in the 1900 Federal Census: Jefferson Township, Montgomery County, Ohio, District 90, page 39A, dated June 19, 1900 records Archibald Jamison ( Oct 1835 - PA/Scotland/PA) as an inmate at the Central Branch National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers. He has no occupation listed.

Archibald Jamison is also listed in the 1890 Veterans Schedules - Surviving Soldiers, Sailors, and Marines, and Widows in Erie Co., Ohio: Archibald Jamison, Private, 198th PA Inf - Oct 13, 1864 to May 24, 1865 - General Disability Incurred.

That poorly documented 1870 Philadelphia census records Archibald Jamison twice, living with what appears to be his mother: The 1870 Federal Census for Philadelphia Ward 27, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 3461 Chestnut Street P. O., District 89, page 114, dated July 27, 1870, records Archibald Jamison (34 - PA) with Annie Jamison (55 - PA). Archibald is working as an Upholster near to what appears to be the Pennsylvania Blind Asylum ... then Philadelphia Ward 27 (2nd Enum), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, page 134B, dated Nov 15, 1870 records Arche Jamison (40) with Annie Jamison (60). No occupations nor street addresses are listed. See general notes on Charles Abraham Helms for unusual 1870 census records in Philadelphia.

The 1850 Federal Census for West Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co., Pennsylvania, page 503A, dated July 25, 1850 records Archibald Jameson (14 - PA) living with his mother, Ann Jameson (35 - PA), and brother John Jameson (13).
