(17), Sarah E. (15), John (13), Mary M. (11), Paulina W. (9), Nancy M. (6), Hetty F. (4), and George W. (0). Ansom is a Stone Mason. Next door is Saml Sterne whose daughter, Sarah Ann Sterne, will marry John William Dodd Sr. - Lucy's to be in-laws.

The 1860 Federal Census for Botetourt Co., Virginia, page 88, dated July 18, 1860 records Lucy E. Clemens (sic) (9 - VA) living with her parents Ausalem (49 - VA) and Angaline (45 - VA) Clemens and siblings Nancy (16), Hetty (14), George M. (4), and Victoria (7).

Lucy married John William Dodd Jr., son of John William Dodd Sr. and Sarah Ann Sterne, on 2 Dec 1868 in Rockbridge Co., Virginia. (John William Dodd Jr. was born in Dec 1849 in Virginia, died on 22 Aug 1935 in Buchanan, Botetourt Co., VA and was buried in Fairview Cemetery, Buchanan, VA.)
