Jim is a Helper in a Restaurant while John is the Proprietor of a Restaurant.

The 1930 Kinston Ward 1, Lenoir Co., NC, District 5, page 9A, dated April 8, 1930 records James C. (32 - NC/NC/NC) and Laura M. [Hines] (30 - NC/NC/NC) Privette with their children Helen (9), George C. (5), Horace K. (2 11/12), and Bettie B. (11/12) at 312 North College Street. James is a Salesman for Barbecue (sic).


Interesting to note that there is a WWI Draft Registration Card for James Clarence Privette dated Sept 12, 1918 where his date of birth is given as March 29, 1899. His death certificate records his date of birth as March 27, 1900 ... see medical notes. He is working as a common laborer at the Caswell Cotton Mills.
