The following is the obituary for Maxine's sister, Ethlyn Beloncik
Ethlyn Beloncik, long-time Chandler, OK, resident was born on January 13, 1921, in Skeedee, OK, and departed this life on February 5, 2004, at her residence in Chandler, Oklahoma, at the age of 83 years. Ethlyn was the daughter of Archie Verlin and Viola Flossie (Johnson) Gillock. She served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII. Ethlyn married Frank Beloncik in Fort Worth, Texas, on August 18, 1945. She worked many years with her husband Frank in their veterinary business in Chandler. Ethlyn was a homemaker and was a long-time member of the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Chandler, Oklahoma. Her parents and husband preceded Ethlyn in death. Survivors include: five sons and daughters in law: Paul & Dian Beloncik of Chandler, OK, Chris & Terry Beloncik of Depew, OK,Jon & Darlene Beloncik of Chandler, OK, Philip & Kim Beloncik of Chandler, OK, Andrew & Debbie Beloncik of Chandler, OK; three daughters and sons in law: Susan Ball of Colorado Springs, CO, Martha & Larry Hendrickson of OKC, OK, Mary Ellen & George Cox of San Diego, CA; one sister and brother in law: Maxine & Wayne Adkins of Stillwater, OK; 24 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Memorial may be made to the Caring Hands Hospice of Central Oklahoma 313 N. Fourth Ave., Stroud, OK 74079. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, February 9, 2004, at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Chandler, with Father Louis VanderLey O.S.B., Father Richard Beckman and Father David Lafferty officiating. Burial will follow in the Catholic Cemetery in Chandler. Services are under the direction of the Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma. (38 - Kansas/Indiana/Indiana) and Viola F. (34 - OK/Indiana/Illinois) Gillock and sister Ethlyn Gillock (9 - OK) living at 411 N. Pine Street. Archie is a Plumber in his own Plumbing Shop.

The 1940 Federal Census for Ponca City, Kay Co., Oklahoma, District 36-38B, dated April 4, 1940, page 452B records Maxine Gillock (16 - OK) with her parents Archie V. (49 - Kansas) and Viola F. (45 - OK) Gillock and sister Ethlyn Gillock (19 - OK) living at 208 N. Pine Street. Archie has completed 8 years of schooling and is the owner of a Plumbing Shop and earned $1,500 working 52 weeks during the last year. Both Viola and Ethlyn are working as Book Keepers at the Plumbing Shop.
